Contractor of the Year
ENR West 2026 Northwest Contractor of the Year: Mortenson

Mortenson helped deliver the $1.15-billion Climate Pledge Arena, previously named ENR Northwest’s Project of the Year and a prominent example of zero-carbon and high-performance construction.
ENR Northwest has selected Mortenson as its 2026 Contractor of the Year, recognizing the firm’s revenue growth, diversified project portfolio and leadership in high-performance construction.
Mortenson reported more than $1.4 billion in West region revenue last year, a 9% increase, with the Pacific Northwest accounting for roughly two-thirds of the total. Its regional work spans health care, energy, higher education, advanced manufacturing, residential development and civic construction.
Across Washington and Oregon, Mortenson has delivered some of the Pacific Northwest's most notable projects, including the Portland Art Museum Rothko Pavilion, Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, and Hillsboro Hops Ballpark in Oregon. The firm has handled multiple projects for the University of Washington, including the Medical Center at Montlake and the Bill & Melinda Gates Center for Computer Science & Engineering.
With nearly 10,000 employees, Mortenson has continued to emphasize safety, continuous improvement, risk management and value for project owners.
You can read more about Mortenson in the August 24 issue of ENR West. The issue will also feature the regional Top Contractor rankings.
