As ENR Texas & Southeast readers will see when this year's Top Contractors rankings appear in print in August, many firms across the sprawling region posted impressive revenue numbers for 2024. For Baton Rouge, La.-based Performance Contractors, the previous year turned out to be much better than average.
In its self-nomination submitted to ENR via the annual Top Contractors survey, the industrial contractor reported that 2024 was "a record-setting year marked by growth, innovation and a resolute commitment to safety and workforce development." The contractor also said it introduced new safety initiatives in the past year, including its "We Build Better – By Building It Safe" program, noting that the effort "enhances field leadership engagement through micro-learning video messaging and a renewed focus on execution standards."
The company reported approximately $3 billion in total 2024 revenue, with the vast majority—$2.82 billion—coming from work in the Texas and Southeast region, enough for Performance Contractors to rank at No. 47 on this year's Top 400 Contractors ranking. How the contractor will rank on ENR Texas & Southeast's Top Contractors list will be revealed in the upcoming print edition.
Performance Contractors also reported to ENR that it completed work in 24 states during 2024 and marks its 45th anniversary with "the highest annual performance in company history"—over 25 million workhours and peak staff of over 12,000 personnel.
