Presenting ENR Texas & Louisiana's Project of the Year Finalists

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction built a wider and taller structural steel frame over the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, preserved the original 1950 facades on both ends, imploded the middle of the original building, constructed and placed a huge gold dome, and tied the original front and back ends to the new construction.

During each Best Projects contest, ENR Texas & Louisiana honors one project as our overall Project of the Year. To find this winner, our independent industry judges put forth nominees from the Best Projects winners they have already selected. These nominees are then presented to the entire judging panel, who then vote for what they believe is the very best project in this year's competition.
This year, our judges selected three finalists for Project of the Year. The winner will be announced at our October 29 Best Projects luncheon in Houston.
