Arcadis North America has been selected as ENR California’s Design Firm of the Year 2022.

As the industry emerged from the pandemic last year and brought delayed projects back online, Arcadis saw its regional revenue grow more than 40% over the year prior. The fresh start was fueled, in part, by the increasing need for services centered on climate change and resilience, particularly in the West Coast. Arcadis has also targeted the technology sector as a growing opportunity due to the rapidly increasing need for high-quality facilities across many industries. Arcadis also generally experienced a rebound in client spending (across all sectors) as projects that had been delayed were pressed forward.

Arcadis has been involved in a number of dynamic projects in the region including:

  • The Camp Fire Hazard Tree Removal Field Management Program and the Southern California Hazard Tree Removal Field Management Program. Arcadis expedited projects aimed at boosting recovery of communities devastated by 2020 wildfires.
  • LA Metro regional connector. Arcadis handed construction management support services guiding the construction of the new light stations and connections to the existing Gold Line.
  • Santa Monica Sustainable Water Infrastructure Project. Arcadis has partnered with Santa Monica in a design-build effort to leverage stormwater, dry weather urban runoff and municipal wastewater to produce advanced treated recycled water for non-potable uses and potable reuse.
  • Strengthening Grid Resilience in Southern California. Arcadis is working with Southern California Edison research, redesign and rebuild more than 650 linear miles of transmission and distribution lines in order to maximize long-term reliability in the face of climate change.
