The 1.6-million-sq-ft facility is clad in a multi-colored glass curtain wall inspired by Claude Monet's Water Lily paintings. Water was used in creating the silkscreen pattern on the glass, giving the feeling of movement. The design resulted in 26 different color panels and 27 different glass patterns in five frit colors. This is complemented by 26 different colored aluminum panels across the spandrel of the facade. Variations in architectural lines of the facade, glass sizes and the aluminum panel colors resulted in more than 2,000 unique metal-unit configurations. The all-glass lobby required a completely transparent appearance with no visible hardware. Smaller-than-standard tie-rod anchors were designed, which could be fully cladded so they were not visible.
