Brad Jeanneret, formerly president and COO at Hensel Phelps, has assumed the role of president and CEO. Jeanneret joined the firm as a field engineer in 1996. The firm’s previous CEO, Mike Choutka, will move into the role of chairman of the board. Hensel Phelps has also promoted Steve Grauer to executive vice president. Grauer has served as regional vice president of the Southwest region since 2008. Additionally, Cole Weaver has been appointed regional vice president of the Southwest region. Weaver has been with Hensel Phelps for 19 years, most recently as director of operations for the region.
Jason Mayyak has been promoted to general manager of Burns & McDonnell’s Mountain region following the retirement of Dan Korinek. In his new role, Mayyak will lead a workforce of more than 500 employee-owners based in Denver and Vancouver, Wash., delivering engineering, procurement, construction, environmental and consulting services while supporting critical infrastructure projects in energy, water, power, environmental, industrial, manufacturing and other sectors.
Wold Architects & Engineers has hired Greg Cromer as a new education practice leader in its Denver office. Cromer has more than 40 years of experience designing K–12 learning environments. He earned a bachelor’s of architecture degree from Kansas State University, and his career includes leadership roles at DLR Group and Klipp Architecture.
Dibble has named Brett Howey as its new director of regional growth. A registered professional engineer in Arizona, he has a master’s degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s in geology from the University of Nebraska.
Scott Cary has joined RS&H as its new energy services discipline leader and will drive the expansion of the firm’s energy-related consulting services. Cary steps into the role with more than 20 years of experience leading planning, design and construction teams for major infrastructure programs worldwide, including work with the Dept. of Defense, the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) and airports, ports and private agencies.
Saunders Construction has promoted Tony Street to vice president of field services. Street joined Saunders as a project engineer in 1993 and advanced into leadership roles. A graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management, he has led some of Saunders’ most challenging projects, including the 1900 16th Street Office Tower, IKEA Centennial, Children’s Hospital South Campus and the DaVita World Headquarters. Street is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Class A Supervisor contractor license in the city and county of Denver.
Dick Anderson Construction, which recently acquired Phoenix-based Chanen Construction, has promoted Rivers Anderson to district manager of the firm’s Arizona operations. Anderson recently led the $8-million renovation of the Mountain Modern hotel in Sedona, Ariz., the $32-million expansion and renovation of the Phoenix Theatre and a $95-million student housing project for Midwestern University.
The Sundt Cos., has added Robert Alger to its board of directors. Alger brings more than four decades of leadership experience in engineering, construction and major infrastructure development. He served as president of The Lane Construction Corp. from 2001 to 2019 and as chairman of the board in 2019 to 2020. Shawn Blubaum is the new regional manager for Sundt Construction’s Building Group. A 30-year construction professional, Blubaum will oversee Sundt’s Tucson building operations and project pursuits.
