Howell Construction was joined by project teams from UCHealth, Davis Partnership Architects and site developer Remedy Medical Properties at the groundbreaking of a new medical office building in Green Valley Ranch, Colo. The $4.7-million project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025. The building’s exterior will feature six different facades, including Nichiha fiber cement panels, masonry stone at the entrance, brick veneer, fabricated metal panel wall accents, storefront assembly and curtain wall assembly. The interior buildout for UCHealth will include connection to city utilities and creation of designated spaces for physical therapy, urgent care and primary care clinics. The space will include exam rooms, treatment areas, registration, restrooms, lactation room, X-ray and mammography rooms and staff break room areas. The X-ray room walls are lead coated and all penetrations will be lead sealed.

The Sundt Foundation announced an award of $15,000 in grants to three nonprofits in the Salt Lake City area, with Utah Infertility Resource Center, Jewish Family Service and Salt Lake City Police Foundation each receiving $5,000 to support programs that address critical needs in the community, it said. “Our foundation members are proud to support these organizations that play a vital role in meeting diverse needs,” said Jasen Bennie, the foundation’s Salt Lake City region board member. Grants are awarded quarterly through an application and review process overseen by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
