During the recent holiday season, The Sundt Foundation, the charitable arm of Sundt Construction, presented a check to St. Mary’s Food Bank for $121,480. The donation came as the result of the company’s annual holiday campaign. “We are thrilled to share that our Phoenix-area employee-owners donated a record-breaking $60,740 for St. Mary's Food Bank during our holiday giving campaign,” said Emily Dwosh, Sundt Foundation executive director. “The amount was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Sundt Foundation for a total donation of $121,480. It’s an honor to be able to continue to support St. Mary’s mission.”

The funds raised were estimated to have helped supply more than 600,000 meals during the holiday season. In addition to Sundt’s annual fundraising campaign, a group of 50 Sundt employee-owners had previously spent time packing and helping to distribute more than 3,400 Thanksgiving meals for the St. Mary’s 2023 Turkey Distribution, which was followed by the check presentation. “We were overwhelmed with the generosity of both Sundt employee-owners and the foundation. I don’t recall ever seeing a holiday giving campaign that was this successful,” said Lisa Notaro, chief development officer for St. Mary’s Food Bank. “Sundt clearly has a culture of philanthropy and community, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of this extraordinary gift during a year that has been busier than any other in our 56-year history.”
