Electrical workers recently gathered in Arizona to raise more than $262,000 for The Rosendin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated to positively impact communities through financial grants and volunteer work. Over 140 golfers, 30 volunteers and 43 company sponsors supported the foundation’s inaugural fundraising golf tournament and auction, held Sept. 26 at the We-Ko-Pa Golf Club in Fort McDowell, Ariz.

The Rosendin Foundation supports community nonprofits around the country that promote emotional, nutritional and occupational health programs. The foundation provides financial grants and donations of up to $50,000 per organization, while also participating in volunteer efforts and donation drives in 16 cities.

Several sponsors also provided in-kind donations for a silent auction and a live auction, including Southwest Airlines, the NBA Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Tools, DEWALT, Cigna and Kaiser. Sponsors of the tournament included: Border States, Sunbelt Rentals, Wesco Distribution, Champion Fiberglass, Chubb, Epic Brokers, Rutan & Tucker, Travelers, Zurich, the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Tools, Stanley Black and Decker/Dewalt, WeKoPa Golf Course & Resort, Anaheim Ducks, LA Rams, LA Angels and Commerce Bank.

Clayco recently completed vertical construction of Skye on 6th, a 26-story residential high-rise in downtown Phoenix scheduled for a summer 2023 completion. At the groundbreaking in September 2021, Clayco and Hubbard Street Group each donated $10,000 toward bringing the Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) program to nearby Phoenix Union Bioscience High School.

As part of CCDI’s introduction into the Phoenix market, donations from Clayco and Hubbard Street Group will help fund hands-on construction career exposure and an immersive educational program with nearby Phoenix Union Bioscience High School. Two $2,500 scholarships and summer internships were awarded this summer to senior students interested in pursuing a construction-related college degree. Named the Build Our Future scholarship, the program was funded by the donation dollars from Clayco and Hubbard Street Group.
