Matt Hartzler has assumed the role of president/chief executive of Warfel Construction Co. following the retirement of Ralph E. Simpson Jr. Hartzler, who has been Warfel’s president since 2013, joined the company  in 1995 as a project manager. Simpson, hired by the East Petersburg, Pa.-based construction company as a project manager in 1987, became president/CEO in 2007.

 

Bowman, a Reston, Va.-based multidisciplinary professional services firm, has acquired KTA, a firm that provides services in mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.  Randolph Thompson, KTA’s former president, continues to lead KTA’s engineering and support professionals in Herndon, Va. KTA’s chief executive and founding partner, Mark Koblos, will serve as an executive vice president at Bowman. He will  focus on the firm’s MEP business development and national expansion.

 

Hill International has promoted Tiffany Harmon Banks to senior vice president of human resources. She previously served as the firm’s vice president of human resources.

 

Alan Todd has been promoted to Barton Malow’s director of engineering automation in Richmond.

 

Wohlsen Construction Co. has promoted Roger Ball to vice president of construction quality from vice president of construction for the Delaware Valley region.

 

Professional services firm Dewberry promoted Curt Sanno to vice president in its Mechanicsburg, Pa., office. Sanno also is the business unit manager of the Mechanicsburg office. His experience is in structural engineering.
