The Judicial Council of California is planning to build a new Stanislaus County Superior Courthouse in Modesto. The eight-story, 308,964-sq-ft building will contain 27 courtrooms as well as 32 secure parking spaces at the basement level and 100 surface parking spaces. It has been designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP, and McCarthy Building Cos. has been chosen as the general contractor. The project is valued at $279 million. Oregon

Terwilliger Plaza, a retirement community, is planning to erect a new building called Parkview. The 10-story, 190,000-sq-ft building will contain 127 independent living units and 195 parking spaces. Washington

King County is planning to carry out the North Mercer Island Interceptor and Enatai Interceptor Upgrade project. Package A will consist of the improvements at the North Mercer Pump Station and at Pump Station No. 11. Package B will start at the new force mains from the North Mercer Pump Station and include the balance of the force mains and all of the gravity sewer and siphons on Mercer Island, across the East Channel and through Bellevue, ending at the Sweyolocken Pump Station. Pipeline work in Bellevue includes rehabilitation work on the Enatai Interceptor, the high-flow pipeline installed by HDD, three new underground structures at Enatai Beach Park and the gravity sewer adjacent to the Sweyolocken Pump Station.
