Halff Associates Inc., Richardson, Texas, has announced transitions in the firm’s management team. Mark Edwards succeeds Patrick Kunz as president and CEO, Todd Jackson succeeds Roman Plugge as chief operating officer and Joseph Sagel joins the management team as chief financial officer. In addition, Kunz will join the board of directors and Plugge will become the land and site development practice leader. Russell Zapalac will remain on Halff’s management team as chief strategy officer.
Joeris General Contractors, San Antonio, recently made several changes to its executive team. Promotions included Ken Fuller to president; Angela Cardwell to executive vice president; Henry Serry to chief operating officer; Ryan Doege to chief financial officer; Kristian Pearson to chief strategy officer; and Carl McClenan to senior vice president.
RLG Consulting Engineers, Dallas, announced the retirement of David M. Goodson, principal and chairman of the board, from full-time day-to-day operations of the company, effective as of Jan. 1. After 43 years in the structural engineering profession and 38 years at RLG, Goodson will step down as chairman and assume the role of senior director, where he will continue to be involved in select projects, mentor younger staff and assist in the firm’s strategic decisions.
CEO Stuart Markussen will assume the chairman position. Mike McLaren will continue as chief operating officer. Andy Ayers will manage the structural division, and David Cumming will serve as chief structural engineer.
AECOM’s Dallas office has promoted senior vice president Wendy Lopez to Texas executive. She will spearhead the strategy, growth and leadership of the company’s business in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.
Lopez previously oversaw more than 1,300 employees across 22 states as AECOM’s central region transportation regional business line leader with Dan Manojlovski. Manojlovski will now serve as the single central region transportation regional business line lead.
Joseph Jouvenal has been promoted to president, Southern region at McCarthy Building Cos. in Dallas. Other promotions at the Dallas office include Nate Kowallis, who was elevated to senior vice president; Steve Wilson, promoted to vice president of operations; Tim York, promoted to senior vice president of operations for megaprojects; Danny Mignano, promoted to senior preconstruction director; and Grant Apkarian, promoted to preconstruction director.
Neel-Schaffer Inc., Jackson, Miss., recently promoted nine individuals. Derek Cheatham, Nick Ferlito and Steve Twedt are now senior vice presidents with the firm. Russ Bryan, John Cunningham, Saunders Ramsey, Dennis Reeves, Lance Taylor and Doug Wimberly are now vice presidents.
TDIndustries has promoted James Venegas to senior vice president of its Houston owner-direct services. Randee Herrin has been promoted to oversee TD’s combined virtual design and construction (VDC) and manufacturing groups in Houston. In Dallas, Andrew Kobe was promoted to senior vice president of TDIndustries’ process solutions group.
Jon Duffey has been promoted to vice president and will provide executive oversight for HITT’s newly opened Dallas office. HITT Dallas will focus on corporate office interiors, law firms and technology projects.
REES, Dallas, has promoted Jim Besgrove to vice president. Besgrove, who has more than 24 years of design experience, joined REES in 2016.
LJA Engineering, Houston, announced that Mark Swanson and Amanda Carriage have been promoted to vice presidents of land development. Additionally, James Baker has joined LJA as senior project manager for transportation.
Skanska USA’s Houston office has announced that Brad McFarlane, an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in engineering and occupational health and safety, has been hired as vice president of environment, health and safety for Skanska’s building operations nationwide.
James Ledbetter was hired at Salas O’Brien’s Houston office as director of technology. Ledbetter has over 18 years of experience in planning, design, construction administration and implementation of physical security and technology systems.
Gensler’s Dallas office has promoted Cindy Simpson to co-regional managing principal of the south-central region. Simpson will also continue in her current capacity as co-managing director of the Dallas office along with Steven Upchurch.
Walter P Moore has announced that Brian Caudle, managing director of the firm’s Austin office and a 30-year veteran of the firm, stepped down on Dec. 31 to focus more on managing projects and mentoring staff. Adam Johnson has assumed the managing directorship and office leadership.
Johnson, who has been a structural engineer at Walter P Moore since 2004, was also promoted to managing director of the structures group in the Austin office.
David Leard has joined HNTB Corp. as project director and associate vice president, based in the firm’s Houston office. Leard brings more than 27 years of experience in transit program management, planning, design and construction.
Freese and Nichols announced a batch of new hires. Roger Post has joined the firm as a senior construction manager, based in Fort Worth; Chuck Wolf was hired in Houston to help public-sector clients complete large, complex infrastructure projects; and Barry Fehl joins the firm as a senior water resource design engineer to lead large federal civil works projects in Houston.
Charles Rombold was promoted to operations manager of MW Builders’ new Dallas office. Cory Westfall has joined the office as a senior project manager, and Taylor Blanchard was hired as business development lead.
E.E. Reed Interiors, Sugar Land, Texas, has hired Ben Satterwhite as senior project manager.
Skiles Group promoted two individuals in Texas. In Houston, Ross Brindle is now senior project manager. In Dallas, Michael Knapp has been promoted to senior project manager.
Catamount Constructors Inc. has promoted Michael Dixon to director of the San Antonio branch. The eight-year veteran of the firm was previously preconstruction manager. The firm also announced two new hires. Chris Yancey has joined Catamount as preconstruction manager, and Chris Davidson was hired as project executive.
Wade Wimbish has been promoted to director of education at Cadence McShane Construction Co., Dallas. He has been with the firm in various project management roles for more than 12 years.
