Suffolk County in New York is planning a sports and entertainment complex near the Ronkonkoma station in Brookhaven. The crown jewel of the $1-billion, 40-acre, mixed-use project will be a 17,500-seat arena with two hockey rinks. NYC Dept. of Transportation is planning a $2.5-billion light rail streetcar line that runs between Sunset Park in Brooklyn and Astoria in Queens.
