John WilkinsFlorida-based Kaufman Lynn Construction hired 35-year industry veteran John Wilkins as regional senior vice president for its new Raleigh office. Wilkins will be responsible for management and strategic planning for the region, with an initial focus on hiring staff.

 


Steven E. LeftonKimley-Horn named Steven E. Lefton as the engineering firm’s new president. The firm also announced that CEO John C. Atz, formerly president, moved into the role of chairman. Additionally, former chairman Brooks Peed transitioned to the position of chairman emeritus. Lefton, a 21-year veteran of the firm, began his career as a landscape architect/urban designer in Miami. He previously led the firm’s Mid-America region.


TJ SellersTurner Construction promoted TJ Sellers to manager of preconstruction services for its Central Florida office, where he will lead the estimating team and be responsible for all preconstruction deliverables. Sellers joined Turner in 2010 and previously served as lead estimator.
 


Billy MatthesenBilly Matthesen was appointed manager for special projects for PCL Construction’s Florida buildings group. Matthesen, who began his career with PCL in 2003, recently worked as a project manager.
 

 


Bobby CampbellMcCarthy Building Cos. announced the promotion of Bobby Campbell to senior vice president and Atlanta market business unit leader for the firm’s newly formed Southern region, which combines the previous Southeast and Texas regions.

Construction management firm CHA Tech Services hired Aubrey Shah as project manager in its Atlanta office. Shah has more than seven years of experience leading teams for commercial and government construction.


Tom KeyChoate Construction Co. hired Tom Key as director of preconstruction for its Raleigh office. Key has 35 years of related construction experience; his past  roles include chief estimator, senior preconstruction manager and superintendent.
