John OrrisonJohn Orrison was tapped to be a senior technical adviser in HNTB Corp.’s rail operations and modeling group in Massachusetts. Based in the firm’s Boston office, the transit and freight rail operations expert conducts rail operations and simulation modeling for HNTB’s transit clients. He also advises private industry and transportation agencies on freight and intermodal operations. Before joining HNTB, Orrison was director of commuter rail operations for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where he was responsible for optimizing daily service operations.


Marc FaecherTRC Cos. has promoted Marc Faecher to chief risk officer. Based in Lowell, Mass., Faecher leads the insurance program and project selection and oversight process for the engineering, environmental consulting and construction-management services firm. He will also oversee sustainability and quality efforts. Faecher previously was responsible for the transaction advisory services business and implementing the risk reduction strategy for the company’s portfolio of fixed price environmental projects. In that role, he oversaw the cleanup of more than 100 sites with a remediation value of more than $650 million. Faecher replaces Tom Bennet, who is retiring in September after 10 years with TRC.


Gregg MikolaitiesGregg Mikolaities has launched August Consulting in Rye, N.H. The firm provides strategic real estate development and business consulting services as well as expert testimony and peer review services. In 1987, Mikolaities co-founded Appledore Engineering Inc., which merged with Tighe and Bond in 2011. After the merger, Milkolaities stayed on as vice president until June 2017.


Andraya LombardiPinck & Co., a real estate development and project management services firm, promoted Andraya Lombardi and Tom O’Neil to vice president. Lombardi has led project teams for academic and health care clients such as Northeastern University, while O’Neil has worked on a range of projects for academic, government and housing clients. The firm also promoted Alicia Toney to project director and Dani Letitia to project manager.


Tony NigroTony Nigro has joined BOND as vice president of operations for the Boston-area contractor’s health care leadership team. Nigro is tasked with improving project delivery and processes by applying lean construction methods. Prior to joining BOND, Nigro was vice president of construction for Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC in Boston.


Crystal GrimSvigals + Partners has hired Crystal Grim as director of business development and marketing for the New Haven-based design firm. She specializes in long-term strategic planning and data-driven research.

 


John RockSouth Coast Improvement Co. has hired John Rock as a construction project executive. Rock has executive oversight on several projects for the Marion, Mass.-based contractor, including an addition to the YWCA in New Bedford, Mass. He has served as a management executive on projects such as the Natick Mall’s redesign.
