The U.S. 6 Bridges design-build project replaced six aging bridges and built six new ones. It also added ramp structures as well as a bicycle and pedestrian bridge to improve mobility through the I-25/U.S. 6 interchange. All work took place in one of Denver’s heaviest traffic corridors. Up to 10,000 vehicles per hour pass through the area during peak periods. Despite unforeseen challenges and a seven-week delay, the team delivered the project eight months ahead of the deadline.
