High Star Ranch has made a name for itself in Summit County by offering event space for weddings, banquets and corporate meetings, while boasting beautiful views of the Wasatch Back.
To broaden the ranch’s appeal and amenities, Layton Construction converted an existing barn on the ranch into a state-of-the-art events center. The end result is the newly completed DeJoria Center: a restaurant, ultramodern theater with the latest sound technology and a multi-use convention hall that can seat 1,400 guests. The building also houses new restrooms, meeting rooms and kitchens.
The existing barn received a new concrete floor and an additional 25,000 sq ft to house a support facility. The project team took care to showcase the panoramic mountain views by installing floor-to-ceiling windows and added interior stone work, steel and lighting elements that combine modern and rustic styles to create a unique mountain ambiance.
