“There’s a lot of excitement within the public and private sector about the number of projects in Fort Worth and neighboring cities,” Hedlund says. “The Fort Worth school district’s bond program is creating a lot of opportunities for new construction.” The commercial sector has been active in North Texas, with solid growth in the private sector, which is fueling new development and construction, he adds. “Backlog for trade contractors will continue to be strong, with a potential softer market beyond 2017,” Hedlund says.
