Randy Osburn, vice president with HDR in Raleigh, was promoted to audit director for the firm's risk management and compliance office. In this role, Osburn will be responsible for overseeing corporate compliance audits for HDR worldwide. He has 25 years of engineering industry experience.

Elizabeth Lusk

Also in Raleigh, Dewberry hired Steve Hilderhoff as an associate and senior project manager. He will specialize in water distribution, wastewater collection, and water-wastewater treatment.

Derek Wassink was elected as chief executive officer for Jacksonville, Fla.-based RS&H. A 17-year veteran of the engineering and architectural firm, Sweeney most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, positions he'd held since January 2014. Sweeney has more than 30 years of engineering industry experience. has been promoted to the position of vice president for Batson-Cook Construction, West Point, Ga. In this role, Meadows will have overall responsibility for the office's strategic planning, business development and construction operations. Meadows succeeds Joe Appleton, who, after six years as senior vice president and general manager of the West Point office, has relocated to Batson-Cook's Atlanta office. Meadows, a 31-year veteran of the company, most recently worked as a project executive.Skanska USA has promoted to account manager and senior vice president for its South Florida operations, based in Miami. For the past four years, Glinn has served as an executive within Skanska's aviation center of excellence. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and national aviation director for Skanska. has joined the Atlanta office of architectural and engineering firm Stevens & Wilkinson as a principal and director of planning. Stafford has nearly 25 years of related experience and previously worked for facilities planning firm Health Education + Research Associates. Stafford will serve as a facility strategist, programmer and planner, and will contribute to business development and marketing strategy.Professional services firm Dewberry has hired as an environmental scientist in its Raleigh office. In this role, Lusk will be responsible for the development and review of environmental permits for transportation, utility and other civil-works projects in North Carolina. She has more than 14 years of related experience and most recently worked for the North Carolina Dept. of Transportation.Engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti has hired as a vice president in its Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office. Wassink has held leadership positions with various engineering firms for more than 28 years, including 15 years in the Florida market.
