Vegas PBS/CCSD Technology Campus

The objective of the project was to construct a new and modern PBS building for the function of TV, radio and other technologies. The first TV station in the U.S. and Canada to apply for LEED gold, this 21st century facility includes 715 KW solar panels and 202 geothermal wells for heat transfer in air conditioning systems. Light is managed in several ways including light tubes, external glass coating and a window system with internal louvers. The building will use 35-40% less energy than if built traditionally. One judge said this project needed to be a showcase for sustainability and technology, and it achieved both very nicely.
