MEB General Contractors of Chesapeake, Va., was awarded a $22.3-million contract for replacement of fuel storage tanks at the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center in Jacksonville. The contract was awarded by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC Southeast).

MEB will demolish seven above-grade fuel storage tanks and construct five new 80,000-barrel tanks. The existing underground piping will be demolished and replaced with an above-grade system. The project is scheduled for completion in 2012.
