Amazon.com is building its new corporate headquarters in Seattle�s South Lake Union neighborhood. The headquarters includes up to 11 new buildings totaling approximately 1.7 million sq ft of office and nearly 100,000 sq ft of street-level retail space. The five phase construction project which kicked off in early 2008 will include various new buildings and the adaptive reuse of two historic buildings. Initial occupancy is expected by mid 2010.
