American Honda Motor Co. picked KBR Building Group and minority contractor partner The Daniele Co. to build a new customer service facility at Honda Aircraft's headquarters. The 90,000-sq-ft facility features back shops for composite and sheet metal structures, avionics and interiors; a customer waiting area; individual work rooms; conference space; and a flight planning room. The exterior consists of architectural and industrial insulated metal panels, aluminum sunshades and glass curtain wall systems. The project earned a rating of Three Globes from the Green Building Initiative.
