Originally, the project's goal was to demolish and replace the concrete superstructure on the entry and exit ramps—each comprising 14 50-ft spans—for the short-term parking garage at Tampa International Airport's landside terminal. But the project grew more complex when it changed from deck rehab to a full superstructure replacement. With access to the ramps limited—with less than 7 ft of vertical clearance—the project team opted to use two 100-ft-long steel movable work platforms, at heights of more than 70 ft.
