Growth continues in New Mexico’s second-largest city. Last year, 511 single-family dwellings were built along with two apartment complexes and two triplexes, Nichols says.

Next year, the city will have a new regional hospital, the 95,000-sq-ft Three Crosses Regional Medical Center on Main Street. Nichols says that another hospital, Mountain View, is getting a $15-million addition and renovation. Twenty-one commercial structures, including medical clinics and dialysis centers, were built in Las Cruces last year, he adds.
