The Council for Educational Facility Planners International (or CEFPI), International Board of Directors, elected W.A. “Bill” Stice of Terracon, Houston, to serve on the CEFPI Communications Committee. CEFPI is a worldwide professional association whose mission is to improve the places where children learn. CEFPI members are actively involved in planning, designing, building, equipping and maintaining schools and colleges.

KBR, Houston, announced that Jim Stewart has been appointed business unit president, KBR Power and Industrial. Stewart holds a master’s in business administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas, a master’s of science in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s of science in chemical engineering from Penn State University.

The Texas Association of Builders, Austin, recently installed its officers for 2011: Randy Bayer, Katy; David Miller, Lubbock, Eddie Martin, Austin; and G. Granger MacDonald of Kerrville. ARC Abatement, Houston, announced Rick Rickels has been named general manager to oversee ARC’s Houston office. Rickels graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s of business administration in management and marketing.
