New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has appointed Anna Young of Dewberry, Fairfax, Va., to the New Jersey State Board of Architects.

John M. Dionisio has been elected chairman of the New York Building Congress, succeeding Peter A. Marchetto, the president of Tishman Construction. Dionisio is chairman and CEO of AECOM.

Art Hance, president of Hance Construction, Washington, N.J., has been elected to a two-year term as president of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association.

Grassi & Co., Jericho, N.Y., has hired Brian Sackstein as a not-for-profit audit principal. He has more than 16 years of experience in the health care sector, and his areas of expertise include auditing, accounting and management advisory services. The company has also hired Robert Castro as partner.

In addition, Grassi & Co. has combined its New York offices. Its new address is 488 Madison Ave.

Forest Electric Corp., New York, has named Robert Richardson senior executive vice president of the firm and executive in charge of its New York operations. He is a 34-year veteran of the company and the New York City construction market. In his new position, Richardson will have responsibility for all estimating, business development and project execution for Forest Electric's New York operation.

Forest Electric has also announced that Harry Sassaman, senior executive vice president, has been named executive in charge of the firm's New Jersey operations.

McCarter & English LLP, Newark, N.J., has been awarded LEED-Gold certification for the renovation of its practice floors at the firm's Newark office. The company has also received a LEED-Silver rating for the build-out of its conference center.

Houlihan Lokey, Los Angeles, has hired Timothy Steffen as managing director within its global industrials group. He will be based in the firm's New York office.

Houlihan Lokey has also hired Aaron Dannenberg as a director in capital markets in its New York office.

Star America Infrastructure Partners LLC, Roslyn, N.Y., has hired Mark Melson as chief operating officer of the infrastructure fund division. Melson joins SAIP following a 20-year career with New York-based Lend Lease.

Peckar & Abramson PC has appointed Gregory Chertoff and Paul Monte as the co-managing partners of the firm's New York City office.

V.I.P. Architectural Associates, Syracuse, N.Y., has hired Katie Carroll and Brian Dionne as intern architects.

GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., Norwood, Mass., has hired David M. Winslow as district office manager of its northern New Jersey office. He has been with the company since 2004.

She will be one of two landscape architects on the 13-member board. AECOM, New York, has hired as director of strategic initiatives within the Northeast region. Rimmer will be based in New York City and focus on growing the firm's position in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
