HDR Architecture, Princeton, N.J., hired Chris Bormann as health-care principal. He will be responsible for strengthening the firm's presence in the health-care field throughout the Northeast. Bormann has a strong background in health-care facility planning, master planning, design and project management. Previously, Bormann managed Perkins + Will's health-care practice in its New York and Philadelphia offices.

Winoker Realty Co., New York, hired David Simon to serve as a director of the firm. He will work on occupancy assignments and be in charge of growth of Winoker's media platform. Simon will report to executive vice president Corey Abdo.

CNY Builders, New York, hired Jerry Collins as director of marketing and business development. In this role, Collins will assist principals in developing new business strategies and oversee the firm's marketing initiatives. Previously, Collins served as vice president at URS Corp. and also worked at construction firms J.A. Jones Construction, York Hunter and Lehrer McGovern Bovis.

Dewberry, New York, promoted Shahidul H. Joarder to department manager of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services in the New York City office, where he will manage the department's daily operations. Joarder has been with Dewberry since 2008 and has more than 30 years of experience in electrical light and power systems as well as fire alarm and telephone systems. He also has expertise in electrical systems for subways, tunnels, bridges and highways.

Nicholas T. Williamson of JRS Architect PC, Mineola, N.Y., earned his New York architecture license and was promoted to architect from junior project manager. Williamson will manage projects for such clients as Cablevision Systems Corp. and Polimeni International.
