Vanir Construction Management
Sonji white is a construction management professional with 20 years of diversified program and project construction management experience. Sonji developed her love of New Orleans while at Tulane, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Management. Later she earned a Certificate in Construction Management from California State University - East Bay. Her success in construction management is found in both public and private commercial construction projects. Sonji worked with the City of New Orleans Recovery Program after Hurricane Katrina, where she managed to acquire $50 million in FEMA reimbursement funding for various health clinics, libraries, and community centers around the city of New Orleans. She has worked in K-12 education facilities for 15 years, renovating and building new schools in California and Louisiana. Currently she is working on several projects at the Chabot College Campus in Hayward, California. Sonji has always been a supporter and proponent of small, disadvantaged and women owned businesses. In addition, she is a strong promotor of women in construction trades and management. She has been a member of various organizations, including the National Association of Women in Construction and Women in Operations.
