Sara Barrientos

Barrientos is the Quality Systems Manager for the Infrastructure GBU at Bechtel Corporation. In her twenty-one-year career, she has held design engineering, construction, and quality roles in various Infrastructure projects. She studied Mechanical Engineering at Kansas State University and she is a registered professional engineer and a certified six sigma black belt. Sara is the founder and Global Chair of B-Familia, Latinx BRG at Bechtel and a mother of two boys.
Sara was born in Chile, raised in Venezuela, and her life experiences have made her acutely aware of culture, integration, and inclusivity. Upon graduation in 2020, Sara has held various roles across functions, project phases, and sectors. These experiences gave her awareness of the project full lifecycle, project requirements and setup, and their impact on performance and delivery. Besides of being a champion of process, she understands values and behavioral framework as key elements of process implementation and project performance.
