Peter Boos, PE, leads renewable efforts for the Transmission & Distribution Group at Burns & McDonnell, helping electric utility and developer clients overcome new challenges on a daily basis. Peter works with clients on how to best navigate today’s energy markets, provides thought leadership on energy storage policies and technologies, and is involved in energy delivery advanced technology initiatives. He has a proven track record of adding new service capabilities for the firm. His experience includes design engineering for electrical substations ranging in voltage from distribution to 500-kV and the use of structural design/analysis software packages. Throughout his career, Peter led standard and site-specific steel design and analysis, foundation design and analysis, stormwater design and analysis and site grading. He has a master’s degree in structural engineering and a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University.
