Nicholas R. Martinez began his career in the steel industry in 1989 by serving as a 44B Metal Worker in the United States Army. He served in this capacity until 1995 when he chose to study welding technology at Central Texas Community College. He completed this degree in 1995 and continued his education in steel by enrolling and completing Denver, Co Local 24's Ironworker Apprenticeship Program in 2000. In 2014, Nicholas joined Red Cedar Cedar Steel Erectors as their general field superintendent. He plays an executive-level role in all pre-Bid/preconstruction coordination and currently supervises projects of all size throughout California, Nevada and the Southwest. Nicholas pursues exceptional business/client relationships while overseeing project coordination meetings, production, scheduling, crew staffing, rigging and safety protocols.
In addition to 24 years of steel erection expertise, Nicholas currently holds the following professional qualifications: Qualified Signalman/Rigger Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC), Fall Proection, OSHA 10 & 30, and Ironworker Safety Director.
