Myesha B. McClendon is currently Vice President at Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc., proudly demonstrating an unwavering dedication to engineering for over 15 years. Her professional experience encompasses a diverse portfolio of projects with a focus on Program Management, Aviation, and Facilities. She is performance driven and results orientated, managing all aspects of any project she is responsible for. Her success in managing multi-million dollar projects for governmental and private clients is directly attributed to excellent organization and a strong ability to manage both people and projects simultaneously.
As a proven leader who is dedicated to mentoring youth and future engineers, Myesha serves as co-coordinator for the Chicago Chapter of MATHCOUNTS, a national math club and competition for middle school students. She is an Associate Board Member for Milhouse Charities – a non-profit organization created to advance the academic achievements and opportunities for minorities and other underrepresented youth in STEM fields. Myesha and her sister Michelle McClendon are co-founders of the Myesha and Michelle McClendon Scholarship Fund for African American Women pursuing undergraduate degrees in Engineering through the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation.
Myesha earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. Her many professional accolades include being a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional), honored as one of Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40, named 2019 ENR National Young Professionals Top 20 under 40, recipient of the Milhouse Charities “You Are The Key” Volunteer of The Year Award 2017 – for extraordinary service improving communities around the world and the Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Incorporated - Maverick of the Year Award, Manager of the Year – 2016. Myesha is dedicated to continued service and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
