Angelina Galiteva has led California’s Statewide Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHESH2) initiative since 2021 and was officially appointed CEO in 2023. ARCHESH2 is focused on accelerating decarbonization of the fourth largest global economy and creating a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem. Angelina is the founder and board chair of Renewables 100 Policy Institute, an organization dedicated to accelerating the global transition to 100% renewable energy for all sectors. She was appointed In 2011 by then-Gov. Jerry Brown to the California Independent Systems Operator Board (CAISO), one of the largest transmission operators in the world, and in 2020 became the first woman chair of its board of governors. Gov. Gavin Newsom reappointed her in 2023 to serve a fourth term on the board.
Angelina, who also serves as chairperson of the World Council for Renewable Energy and is a founding board member of the Global Clean Energy Desalination Alliance, is an expert in strategic issues related to renewable energy, new technology development and implementation, optimizing power system resilience and efficiency, as well as overall sustainability and environmental policy programs for public and private entities. She has been a US State Dept. representative expert on renewable energy and power grid resilience and reliability issues. Angelina is former executive director of strategic planning for the Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power (LADWP), overseeing the utility's renewable energy program, and also worked at the New York Power Authority. She has overseen numerous utility scale renewable energy, bulk storage, and combined heat and power project developments, including distributed generation and microgrid specific installations, with experience structuring electric vehicle to grid programs, accelerating development and deployment of hydrogen and fuel cell infrastructure and financing large scale renewable power project development in the US and abroad. Angelina holds a JD and LLM degrees in energy and environmental law from Pace University
