The Bureau of Reclamation opened a funding opportunity for project proposals to result in measurable water savings in Lake Mead at the
Arizona-Nevada border, or to add new water to an applicant’s supply to
cut use of river water,
The project team worked through tough issues to complete the $70.7-million project in April 2022 on budget and on schedule for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
Egyptian wastewater reclamation facility, just east of the Suez Canal, holds two Guinness world records and can treat more than 2 billion cu m of wastewater annually; completed on time and on budget, it is set to spur development in the Sinai Peninsula.
A significant upgrade to the original facility, this new plant serves the water reclamation needs of the city of Mesa and the towns of Gilbert and Queen Creek, Ariz.
