Doreen M. Harris is the president and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), a public benefit corporation that advances innovative energy solutions to improve New York State’s economy and environment. She has held public and private sector leadership roles advancing clean energy projects and energy companies for more than 20 years. During her 10 years of public service, Doreen has held executive, technical and policy positions at NYSERDA. As vice president of large-scale renewables, she oversaw the state’s nation-leading advancement of renewable resources under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, including development of offshore wind. Before embarking on a career in public service, Doreen spent more than a decade in the energy sector, serving in management and engineering roles. Doreen earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a Master of Business Administration from the University at Albany.
