Lunch Table Host: Fostering Collaboration Between All Sides of Construction Project

Yessy Rojas is a senior project engineer at the PENTA Building Group. She has been a member of the team for over four years and has contributed her expertise to large-scale gaming and hospitality projects in Southern California.

Yessy is responsible for ensuring all requirements and obligations are understood and implemented with project controls, project systems, procedures, and documentation. Providing project continuity, she develops budget estimates for special projects, project set-up, leads descope meetings, buy-out, develops subcontractor contracts, manages cost control, and performs internal audits. Additionally, Yessy is responsible for procurement, field coordination with trades to resolve complex field changes, logistics development support, schedule updates, and entry level Superintendent training. Yessy remains on the job through close-out, finalizing financial reconciliation on multiple projects, engineering close-out and commissioning.

Yessy mentors engineers within the functional discipline by providing guidance and direction. Her efficient and transparent approach to communication amongst all stakeholders contributes to the solidity of our team.

Yessy received her BS in construction engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, with a minor in organizational communications and Spanish literature, and a master’s degree in Spanish language.
