Vera Galvez is the executive vice president of operations at Maspeth Welding, a leading structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector based in New York City. She plays an integral role in the company’s overall operations, business development, and corporate strategy. With over 20 years of experience in Design, Construction, Project & Portfolio Management, and Operations, she holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute, a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, and a LEED AP certificate. She has successfully executed various notable projects in the Corporate, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail Banking, Performing Arts, and Aerospace sectors. An ambassador to Maspeth Welding's culture, Vera takes great pride in the company's ethical and transparent approach to its dedicated, passionate, and diverse employees- a strength that sets Maspeth Welding apart from other specialty subcontractors. In her free time, she contributes to the development of the Maspeth Squash Program, an initiative created by Maspeth Welding’s President, Jeff Anschlowar, who built the world’s first and only outdoor steel-walled squash court. The program offers employees free lessons with recognized squash pros and aims to make the racquet sport more accessible to all.
