Bob Clark founded and is former CEO of Clayco, a fully integrated turnkey real estate development and design-build construction company in 1984 in St.Louis, his hometown. Clayco relocated its headquarters to Chicago in 2012. In 2025, it had revenue of $8.1 billion and a team of over 4,000 people. The company is among the largest builders of Industrial, hyper-scale data center, advanced manufacturing, F&B, education, research and healthcare facilities. Appointed by former President Joe Biden as the US Commissioner General for World Expo Dubai, Bob served in the U.S. State Dept. in 2021/2022.
Bob is dedicated to addressing critical issues such as children's needs, education and rare disease research, and supports civic leadership. He served as a trustee at St. Louis University and Washington University School of Medicine and was the former executive director and board member of the Central Institute for the Deaf. Outside his professional endeavors, Bob enjoys time with his family at his Colorado ranch, hiking worldwide and collecting works by talented Black and Native American artists for the Clark Collection.
