Mortenson
Loan Ngô is senior director of quality at Mortenson and she is responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and execution of Mortenson's quality program to help drive performance and efficiency in Mortenson’s processes and systems. Ngô also provides leadership to all operating group quality leaders and Mortenson’s full service facility solutions / warranty management functions and serves on the DE&I committee. Ngô has held various leadership, operations, and technical positions in the aerospace, mining, manufacturing, and coatings industries. Prior to joining Mortenson and the construction industry four years ago, she was vice president of global quality at Valspar Corp.
In addition to the wealth of knowledge she brings from her professional experience, Ngô's academic career includes three master’s degrees in manufacturing operations (engineering) from Kettering University, financial management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an executive MBA with focus on strategy and organizational design from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Her bachelor’s degree is in mechanical engineering – aerospace from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She is expecting to complete her master’s in strategic analytics from Brandeis at the end of this year.
She volunteers her time to be a mentor for ACE Mentor Program of America and is a board member for Success Beyond the Classroom (SBC), a non-profit organization that creates powerful learning experiences that challenge students to explore interests, discover new perspectives, connect with professionals in the community, and visualize their success beyond the classroom. She was a judge for SBC’s Future City competition, where students in grades 6-8 imagined, researched, designed, and built cities of the future – City on the Moon.
