Emily Brown is the director of talent development for McCownGordon Construction. A project executive turned learning and development professional, she has a unique perspective into the daily challenges faced by those in the industry. With an emphasis on associate development, Emily works with all levels of the organization and takes pride in creating relevant, applicable learning opportunities to help even the newest associates gain their footing. An advocate for the next generation of construction leaders, Emily established McCownGordon’s college internship program with a focus on learning and inclusion. This sought-after program attracts students from across the Midwest and has provided career development opportunities for over 125 students since 2015. She and her team design and implement applicable learning and development opportunities for 500 associates—from individual contributors to top executives.
