Rick Niederstadt has over 20 years of experience in engineering, design and construction. He started in the private sector as a consultant performing engineering, design, and construction management. Since 2000, Rick has been working with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. He started as a Resident Engineer (construction manager) before moving into the role of Construction Support Manager in 2012, and then into the role of Capital Program Support Manager in 2015. Rick is responsible for the Project Controls, Construction Management, and Facilities Information/Geographic Information System groups at MMSD. Rick led the implementation of e-Builder at MMSD and used that opportunity to improve and enhance business process functionality. Rick is currently leading a second phase of e-Builder implementation whereby enhanced scheduling and labor resource management functionality will be used to manage internal labor costs and labor forecasts for project budgeting and control purposes. Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University and is a registered Professional Engineer.
