With over 25 years of experience, Sheryl works for Mortenson Construction as their Vice President & General Manager leading the Chicago office. She leads the business development, marketing, design phase, and virtual design & construction teams in Chicago, as well as strategic oversight of the Higher Education market.

While pursuing her degree in engineering, she realized that her passion was in construction. Sheryl loves to help customers and design partners deliver complex buildings that get to shape our society’s future. Sheryl brings her energy to her teams every day and considers it an honor to serve them in her role. She’s passionate about advancement for women and people of color within the AEC industry and serves as an advocate for equity at all levels. Outside of work, Sheryl is married and is raising three teenage daughters which is truly all consuming.
