Taylor began her career at FEMA, before moving to the Texas Dept. of Transportation. At WSP USA—where she is a key asset to practice operations, team building, and client relationships—her achievements there include assisting with growing the Texas planning practice from two to nearly thirty people in over six years.

She is passionately involved in helping minority transportation professionals come together through organizations such as the Conference for Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and Central Texas Association of Environmental Professionals (CTAEP).

As president of CTAEP, Taylor has organized several industry events, including the TxDOT Environmental Affairs Conference happy hour to raise money for a scholarship fund. She also helped to restart the COMTO Austin organization, which grew from less than ten members to nearly 30 members during the past few years. Taylor has also created a networking luncheon series that featured industry leaders.
