Upon graduating with his bachelor of architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design in 2008, KiSeok started his career working at a boutique architecture firm where he provided design services primarily for K-12 schools. However, within a few years, he realized that his passion was more in driving processes pertaining to how organizations leverage digital design technology. From there, he joined HNTB as BIM manager and started on a career progression that has led him to his current position as a vice president and digital advisory lead at STV.

After two years at HNTB, KiSeok took on a role as an associate vice president and design technology leader at AECOM where he started working with both internal and external clients on how to better leverage technology within the design and construction industry. His focus at AECOM was primarily on more effectively using data, growing his team to about 32 people.

His experience at AECOM led KiSeok to STV, where he had the opportunity to build a digital advisory practice from the ground up that would have a holistic impact on all the firm’s operating groups. In this role, KiSeok oversees a team of about 24 who provide a range of services and skills to clients and the broader STV team including consulting, architectural and engineering technology, product solutions and development, and data science. KiSeok also leverages his role as an associate professor at Columbia University’s School of Engineering to provide both mentorship and guidance for best practices within the digital technology sphere.
