At ENR Mountain States, we are beginning the research for another year of Top Lists of industry firms, rankings of regional leaders that have become reader favorites. Those include our annual rankings for Top Contractors, Top Design Firms and Top Specialty Contractors.
The lists are compiled by regional firms who self-report their revenues via secure online surveys, which are provided as a free editorial service of Engineering News-Record and McGraw-Hill Construction. Notifications for the first of those surveys, the Top Design rankings, went out this week. Those lists will include both engineers and architects with permanent offices in our five-state area: Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. If you are a regional design firm that wishes to participate in the survey and haven’t yet received a notification about it, you can email me at mark_shaw@mcgraw-hill.com or use this link: https://enrsurveys.opinioninsight.com/survey/html.pro?ID=92
The deadline for online completion of the design survey is March 25.
The Regional Top Design Firms Survey is for rankings in the Mountain States area only. There is a separate survey for the National ENR Top 500 Design Firms list. For more information on the National ENR Top 500 Design Firms survey, contact Gary Tulacz at gary_tulacz@mcgraw-hill.com.
Results for the regional Top Design rankings will appear in the June 24 issue of ENR Mountain States magazine.
Links to current surveys can also be found here on  our home page.
Also, watch for notifications of our other top lists surveys in the coming weeks and months. The deadline for completion of the Top Contractors rankings survey is May 13 and for Top Specialty Contractors it will be June 10.
You should begin to see email invitations for those surveys next week (Feb. 12 for Top Contractors) and late March for Top Specialty firms. Remember all of them are free, easy to fill out and secure. They have become important benchmarks for owners and developers across the industry, so please plan to participate this year if you have not done so in the past. If you have questions about these survey forms or processes, please feel free to call me here at the ENR editorial desk at 303-526-0620.
As always, thanks for reading ENR Mountain States.
