The 2012 Best Projects competition in the Mountain States is now open and ready for your entries. Our regional contest annually features dozens of entries in multiple categories judged by design and construction professionals from several states.
And, as always, it’s free to enter.
But get started soon. You must get your entries in by July 2.
As in past years, our Best Projects event features entries from several building categories (commercial, institutional, education, etc.), public works, highway, green projects and—new this year—a separate category for safety.
Project sites must be located in any of the five states comprising the Mountain States region: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. And, we are again extending our regional reach and welcoming entries from project sites in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota and South Dakota.
Other entry criteria:
• Projects must be or will be completed between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012.
• A project with a construction-related fatality, regardless of contractor or trade, is not eligible.
• Submitters may enter the same project in only one category, but there is no limit to the number of projects allowed per company.
Eligible projects will be judged on the following criteria:
• Overcoming challenges and creating teamwork
• Safety
• Innovation and contribution to the industry/community
• Construction quality and craftsmanship
• Functionality of design and aesthetic quality
Winning project summaries will appear in the October issue of ENR Mountain States magazine and be honored in special awards ceremonies in Denver and Salt Lake City this fall.
We have created a new, streamlined entry form and process this year to ease the task of doing either single or multiple entries. It’s all done online, so just go to the following link for full details and to start the entry process: http://enr.construction.com/bestprojects/2012/Default.asp
Good luck. Call me at 303-526-0620 if you have questions.
We are looking forward to seeing the best you’ve got!
