Based on data and other details submitted via this year’s Top Design Firms survey, ENR editors have named Greenville, S.C.-based architectural firm McMillan Pazdan Smith as ENR Southeast’s Design Firm of the Year.

With six offices—all in the Southeast—McMillan Pazdan Smith reported $53.7 million in Southeast revenue for 2019, with the vast majority of that coming from general building projects, including from the health care, K-12, higher education and hospitality markets.

Among the items that ENR editors considered before selecting MPS as Design Firm of the Year was its IdeaXchange program. Describing the program as a “platform for action,” the firm reported that it had recently utilized IdeaXchange to engage civic and business leaders, developers, housing representatives, architects, and engineers in the Greenville community to discuss the area’s affordable and workforce housing needs.

The firm then took the additional step of producing a video highlighting the conversation, as well as a published report, and follow-up public presentations, which can be found here

ENR Southeast will provide readers with much more information about McMillan Pazdan Smith’s regional efforts in our upcoming May 4 print edition.
