ENR's Best Projects competition has gone global. I'm thrilled to present the winners of our first ever Global Best Projects competition.

A panel of industry veterans with lots of global experience has just completed judging, and the projects they have selected are exciting examples of the challenges, risks and rewards of designing and constructing in foreign lands.

The judges looked at 66 projects in a variety of categories, from education to bridges, and examined the safety, innovation and overcoming challenges, putting special emphasis on how globally diverse the project team was. The winners demonstrate that diversity.

The judges also selected one or two Project of the Year winners from among all the category winners. To win Project of the Year, an entry had to excel in all five judging criteria as a project that can be held up as the year's ultimate achievement in global construction excellence.

Come celebrate these awe-inspiring projects, and find out which one was selected as Project of the Year, during the ENR 2013 Global Construction Summit on June 6-7, 2013 in New York, New York.
