Editor's note: this post has been updated with the Excellence in Safety honorees.

New York and New Jersey contractors, designers and project owners: it's time to take a bow.

ENR New York's Best Projects judges have awarded 28 honors so far in the 2019 regional Best Projects contest.

All winning project teams — as well as our honorees for Design Firm of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Specialty Contractor of the Year and the Legacy Award — will be celebrated Oct. 2, 2019, during ENR New York's Regional Best Projects Awards breakfast at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan. (For more information and to register, please visit https://www.enr.com/enr-best-projects-awards/new-york.)

Every year, ENR New York assembles an independent group of judges to review, score and determine final winners from the states of New Jersey and New York. They review each entry on their own, scoring them on various criteria, and then meet to discuss which projects impressed them the most. The panel selects honorees for both Best Project and Award of Merit. Judges recused themselves in cases of conflict of interest.

This year's judges are, in alphabetical order by first name: Dana Kfir, project manager at Enovate Engineering and a 2019 ENR New York Top Young Pro; Diana Plue, senior associate at construction law firm Sheats & Bailey; Hillary Hulteen, CEO of Lafayette Metal and Glass Co., which was ENR New York's 2018 Top Specialty Contractor; Robert Kipp, general superintendent at Satterfield & Pontikes Construction; Paul Loughnane, safety manager at JT Magen & Co., which was ENR New York's 2018 Top Contractor; and Verity Frizzell, principal at Feltz & Frizzell Architects and immediate past president of AIA New Jersey.

Judges will also designate an overall Project of the Year from the Best Project-level winners listed below – which we'll reveal at the breakfast ceremony.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
